I Haz a Smort, I Does

A large part of my job is technical writing.

I just spent the better part of five minutes working on a procedure re-write that had this line in it:

“If firewater is being used to combat the fire…..”

Before I figured out what was wrong with that statement.

Next up, instructions on how to de-energize a 12KV line.

Be afraid.

Be very afraid.

  1. You are decoding Native American manuals? Cool.

  2. First, firewater should never be wasted on a fire. It’s best when used internally 😀

De-energizing a 12KV line is easy. Just challenge the local bully by telling him he’s a wimp if he can’t lean a copper pipe against it. To embarrass him, lean one against an already de-energised line and challenge him to do the same on the energized one.
